Surf Coast Trek Training Sessions at O’Malley Fitness

O’Malley Fitness is proud to sponsor this year’s sold-out Surf Coast Trek, raising funds for Kids Plus Foundation and Give Where You Live Foundation. Our gym owner Mick O’Malley is a Surf Cost Trek Champion for 2020, supporting these great causes. Mick will take part in the 40km walk from Aireys Inlet to Torquay on Saturday, March 28.

To help participants prepare for the trek, Mick will be running free training sessions for all registered trekkers in the lead up to trek. The training will kick off later this month on Thursday the 23rd of January and will run for a total of 10 weeks at the gym.

About the Surf Coast Trek

The Surf Coast Trek is an annual 40km walk from Aireys Inlet to Torquay. The trek is open to individuals and to teams, bringing people together to enjoy the beautiful Surf Coast scenery whilst getting fit and raising money for Kids Plus Foundation and Give Where You Live Foundation.

Kids Plus Foundation

Kids Plus works with Geelong children to provide specialist physiotherapy, occupational therapy and speech pathology services. Their therapy programs aid children with neurodevelopmental conditions in order to increase their participation and engagement in daily life.

Give Where You Live Foundation

Give Where You Live is a Geelong charity which exists to aid local disadvantaged families through partnerships by delivering programs to address the effects of disadvantage. One of their major objectives is to disburse funds either directly or by contributions to organisations to provide relief to diseased, infirm, incurable, poor or destitute persons.
